Sophia Bon is an artist raised and working in Upstate New York and the Hudson Valley. They received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in printmaking with a minor in sociology and have since worked as a studio technician, arts educator, and programs assistant (CV available upon request- email sophiasmbon@gmail.com). Their work predominantly concerns interconnection, environment, and the systems in which the moments that expose them occur and re-occur. With an emphasis on physicality and embodiment, they draw from the unending formal similarities and visual connections between social, domestic, technological, ecological, and biological systems. Often working with handmade paper and print, their practice also largely consists of found materials, sculpture, community engagement, textiles, and ceramics.
